Eileen Hatfield joined the ASSA staff in October 2024 as a Senior Academic Success Coach working with Women’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer, and Men’s Golf teams. Eileen most recently served as an Academic Advisor at University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB) working with students in the Healthcare Management Program.

Prior to UAB, Eileen was an Athletic Academic Advisor at Kennesaw State University from July 2016-May 2024, working with Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Men’s and Women’s Track & Field, Women’s Soccer, and Men’s Golf teams. Eileen began her career in athletic academics at University of Memphis in 2015-2016 as a full-time intern working with football, women’s basketball, men’s track & field, and softball student-athletes.

Eileen was a four-year letterwinner on the women’s volleyball team at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama where she earned her bachelor’s (B.A. in Psychology) and master’s (M.T.S. Theological Studies) degrees. Hatfield also earned a master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Alabama.

Eileen is originally from Winter Springs, FL and enjoys watching and playing sports and spending time with her cat, Sunny.
