Summer Richmond joined UCF in June 2023 as an Assistant Academic Advisor, working with primarily Football. In January 2024, Summer transitioned into the role of Senior Academic Success Coach and Learning Specialist for Football, where she assists student-athletes in balancing academic responsibilities with the demands of collegiate athletics while growing to be better people.

Prior to UCF, Summer served as a Graduate Assistant for Football Academic Development at Western Kentucky University (WKU), providing one-on-one academic support to at-risk student-athletes. Before that, she worked as a Mentor Program Coordinator/Intern at the WKU Student-Athlete Success Center.

She earned a Master’s in Recreation & Sport Administration with a Certificate in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from WKU in 2023. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Sport Management with a Minor in Business Administration from WKU.

Summer is originally from Louisville, Kentucky and is passionate about student-athlete success and enjoys attending football games, the beach, and spending time with her dog Jax.
